In plane sight

My folks have nonrefundable tickets and are arriving Saturday, Dad’s got business here–and I’m still sick.  I took Parker’s suggestion and got a bit of a nap today and am hoping that does it.

But at least I got another hat finished!

It seems to have been a day for finishing things. I finished the bobbin of yarn which I began spinning a week or so before Christmas, and I nearly finished another doll hat. [I am hoping our snow and ice will be finished by the time I need to drive down to the evening session of stake conference.]

P.S. [Where are my manners?] I hope that your cold is also finished when you wake up, and that you get to have a terrific visit with your folks!

I hope you feel a lot better by the time your folks arrive. Parker sure is a little cutie.

I, too, hope you’re well enough to enjoy your parents visit. The young man sets an admirable example.

BTW, get a load of these prices, Alison:

You might want to get on board! You’re cranking them out at an amazing speed!

If you will doctor that cold, it will only last 7 days; if you don’t, it will last a week. I hope you are starting to feel better.

I would prescribe a nap every four to six hours for a stubborn case.

Even if a cold isn’t the worst health challenge, it sure gets old. I hope you rest well and wake feeling much better.

I bet your mom will have you healthy before she leaves… Enjoy!

lots of fluids, lots of rest — enjoy your folks (and let them do for you too!)

I was going to complain about no photo of Parker, but is that he under the cap? Suggests sleep, does he! Already he is showing both his intelligence and his compassion.

For the cold, have you tried the Jewish remedy? Chicken soup!
