My folks have nonrefundable tickets and are arriving Saturday, Dad’s got business here–and I’m still sick. I took Parker’s suggestion and got a bit of a nap today and am hoping that does it.
But at least I got another hat finished!

It seems to have been a day for finishing things. I finished the bobbin of yarn which I began spinning a week or so before Christmas, and I nearly finished another doll hat. [I am hoping our snow and ice will be finished by the time I need to drive down to the evening session of stake conference.]

Comment by Lynn 02.05.11 @ 4:45 amI hope you feel a lot better by the time your folks arrive. Parker sure is a little cutie.

You might want to get on board! You’re cranking them out at an amazing speed!
Comment by LynnM 02.05.11 @ 4:59 amIf you will doctor that cold, it will only last 7 days; if you don’t, it will last a week. I hope you are starting to feel better.
Comment by sherry in Idaho 02.05.11 @ 6:42 amI would prescribe a nap every four to six hours for a stubborn case.
Comment by LauraN 02.05.11 @ 7:05 amEven if a cold isn’t the worst health challenge, it sure gets old. I hope you rest well and wake feeling much better.
Comment by twinsetellen 02.05.11 @ 7:11 amI bet your mom will have you healthy before she leaves… Enjoy!
Comment by Channon 02.05.11 @ 8:11 amlots of fluids, lots of rest — enjoy your folks (and let them do for you too!)
Comment by Bev 02.05.11 @ 9:52 amI was going to complain about no photo of Parker, but is that he under the cap? Suggests sleep, does he! Already he is showing both his intelligence and his compassion.
For the cold, have you tried the Jewish remedy? Chicken soup!
