Hey, I said to her, are you still interested in that Anya apricot seedling? That one planted this spring that was promised to someone else. They just finally decided they want it but they just don’t have the room nor the sun for it, so if you still do, it’s yours.
She was ecstatic!

So jealous. We have had to completely give up on new fruit trees after multiple attempts to protect them from the deer. Other than completely fencing in the yard, they manage to knock down/destroy any protective barrier.
