And then the yarn laughed.
I’d forgotten how much mulberry silk lace weight likes to jump off the needles, and ended up removing 30 stitches from the cast-on; don’t need that extra repeat across, nope nope nope. I know that as soon as I get enough rows done the weight will help stabilize the work. To a point. It’s never going to weigh much at all.
This looks to be both easy and elegant–and something I’ve never knitted before, and I want to. Magic Waves, with an extra stitch each side for stability.

Oh, yes! That is going to be so lovely. Once the yarn decides to give up and play nice. Have fun!

I’ve never tried any of his patterns.
Any recommendations on starter designs?
I will need patience for a long stole. Maybe I’ll start with a triangle ….
