Conversation with a couple after church who remind me of us when we moved here with young kids. They’ve lived here about three years. Nice folks, quite fond of them.
A quick mention in passing and the guy did a double take: “I had no idea you were deaf!”
Me: “Thank you!”
I explained that that’s why I always hold my phone in church–for the captions.
Ohhh, his face said. He got it now.
