I showed Lillian this picture of my blooming sunflower and she was puzzled.
“Where’s the black?”
I explained that it starts off with lots and lots of tiny green buds at the center that become lots and lots of tiny yellow flowers and those become the seeds and yes they’re going to be black.
Six days later, those flowers look like tiny molds for what is to come.
