Houses. Just because you spent a whole lot of money on your remodel doesn’t mean your house here, 2 bd 2ba on a tiny lot, even with a lake easement, is worth essentially as much as–

–this one, more than two and a half times the size on three times the lot in the same zip code.

Besides, I figure ya gotta have space to scandalize the neighbors by ripping out the bushes and planting fruit trees.

But the burning question is, do they have a bakery around there that’s as good as the one that delivered these for a certain tall person’s birthday this week. I think not.

Happy birthday, tall person! Those goodies look very yummy! Wish I could see the houses – Zillow has the links showing broken. 🙁 I love seeing what people think is worth a lot of money!

I agree with you, but also want to note that in the second one, don’t those bathroom cabinets look like they belong in a kitchen? I had to look twice.

Happy birthday, tall person!

Would the tall person be willing to share those BD goodies? HBD!!!

It would take an army of people to maintain that second place! But it’s gorgeous!

Are you seriously looking or just spending lots of time on Zillow? I have a couple of friends who moved to Portland about 5 years ago. One is an old Knit List person who was a good friend of Ruth Schooley. The other has been a Realtor for a while in Manhattan Beach, CA. When she moved she became licensed in Oregon and Washington and deals a lot with relocations. She was very good helping me sell my aunt’s condo in Huntington Beach. Email me if you’re interested and I’ll send you her contact information.

Looking is fun. I’m trying to decide if I want to move to Rio Rancho, NM (just NW of ABQ), which is where my best friend retired to. Can get new build, 2200 sq ft for around $400k. So every day I check Redfin for the new listings. Most things go pending within a week at most.
