Someone, somewhere out there had to have beaten me to it. Hey Google?
She did! Someone took John Denver’s song and changed it to You Fill Out My Census.
(We got the long form ten years ago; we got the short form this time and I couldn’t believe how quickly it was over and done.)

We did ours online. Short version, too. I liked that they asked for our ethnic origin. Finally got to officially recognize my Scottish and Welsh roots.

Comment by Afton 04.02.20 @ 5:18 amLike Afton, I wasn’t sure what to say, because the borders in much of the area from where my ancestors originated (since they wanted countries – originally I put “Texas”) changed so much. One family lived in Poland, left Russia (without having moved), and now the town is Lithuania – so what am I?
Comment by Margo Lynn 04.02.20 @ 7:12 amThe best answer I’ve seen is to put “human” under ethnicity. Why do they think they need to know where our forebears came from so many years ago?
Comment by Mary Hunt 04.02.20 @ 9:35 amDone! Ours came in the Before time–you know, about three weeks ago. Funny thing is, we got it in the mail on Saturday and a reminder in the mail on Monday.
