Trying to write a blog post after getting home late from Convocation at Stanford and then chocolate afterwards with friends…

While here’s my husband sitting down at the computer next to me and exclaiming over a new batch of grandkid pictures that came in while we were out. Sorry, this post is hosed, I gotta go look over his shoulder with him.

But I gotta say, four year olds playing soccer? Swarmball. Totally swarmball. And totally adorable.

Four year olds? How did that happen? Same way, I guess as my eldest grandson turns 17 early next year. Also a soccer play who captains his State age team and looks to go further. Next year will be his last at secondary school and then uni.

Four year olds at any ball game = swarmball! So cute! Grandkids always beat out blog posts. Always!
So glad you have the pics!

I remember the coach yelling out to the center fielder at our 6-yr-olds T-ball game who had just let the ball roll past her, “Run for the ball, run for the ball!”

And the entire team did.

Swarmball indeed – or in the case of my granddaughter who played a year or two of soccer very early is was more like ignoreball. She was far more interested in the dandelions and whatever else was growing in the grass than she was in the ball or the game. She did have fun, but decided she was not cut out for soccer. Adorable – absolutely! But she’s just as adorable now without the soccer ball and age 17. Heck how did that happen??!!
