It’s like with the kids: the testosterone-based authority in that voice does it, every time. “You heard your mother. Now *scoot*!”

Sometimes I’m the only one who can get the printer to print or my sewing machine to sew. The trick is not letting it think you’re in a hurry. If you act like you only have two minutes, it takes all day. If you act like you have all day, it takes two minutes. But the kids and sometimes even the spouse are impatient.

Maybe it is only possible to be an expert in one thing–knitting, not computering.

We should all stick to what we know best!
