There was a knock on our door again today.

Michelle looked in the bag and grinned. Her jam jars are ready to go.  We’ve got serious work ahead!

MJ had fun trying to guess what kind of fruit it was. Jam?

plums — wonderful — they make the best jam! I remember fondly (as does my daughter, who was only about 5 at the time) when we were given several bags of satsuma plums from a tree that had “over produced” in the mind of it’s owner — it was the most amazing jam — so now she has a satsuma tree planted in her yard!

Cherries? Grapes? Oversized cranberries?

Oh, if only we could capture the glaucous quality of plums or blueberries in a yarn. Maybe knit a plum colored wool with a strand of silver mohair?

Wow! That is an awesome colour! We have to bow to the beauty Mother Nature creates…

Let us know when you find the yarn and what it becomes, of course! 😀

That looks a lot like Malabrigo’s “velvet grapes” colorway.

Plum Jam? Or Plum Butter? Either way, cinnamon and lots of it is required! 🙂
