Waiting for my superpowers

You know, that tingley Spidey sense and all that.  (I know, those look more like weevils, and this must be Spiderman’s cousin Webster.  He lost an s and his weapon it went with and is left with only wordplay.)

Michelle shrieked at a small scrambling cluster of spiders the other day while getting John’s room ready for his homecoming, and I went Eh, gimme that vacuum hose, I’ll get’em for you.

It is very useful at times to have impaired pain nerves. On the other hand, so sometimes I don’t have as much sense as I should; I decided today, when the swelling on my finger was worse, to play it safe and take it to the doctor.

I’m told it should clear up in a week or so.  But hey, I can still knit okay, and there’s some blue Manos Silk blend going at a good clip.

But still just not fast enough to knit all the things I wish I could in time for Christmas. Okay, so, that method didn’t work.  Mrs. Weasley?

Michelle shrieking about the spiders reminds me of the time … wait, I think I’ll make a posting out of it. Soon. Probably tomorrow.

I don’t think you could live for long if you couldn’t knit!

Humor —

Why don’t skeletons date?
Because they don’t have any body to go out with.

Why can’t mummies keep friends?
They’re too wrapped up in themselves.

Why are birds grouchy in the morning?
Because their bills are over dew.

Here on the Gulf Coast we take our spiders seriously. The Brown Recluse’s bite can eat a hole in you! Seriously!

Glad you got yourself seen, and the knitting may proceed.

moderation (grin). Knit some today so that you can knit tomorrow.

I have three daughters and a husband who do not deal with arachnids or insects. Guess that leaves the son and I…..

And, if you can’t knit, there is always winding yarn….

We have more spiders inside this year than ever before, and it seems to me someone else made the same observation…

Glad you can still knit. Let me know if Mrs. Weasley shares her spell with you!

HM, I wonder what is up with the swollen finger. I hope it is not enough to interfere with your lifestyle. I told someone the other day that I knit because yarn is cheaper than bail.

In our house, I am the wasp and hornet expert. Spiders I invite to stay as I figure they must be eating something else I’d rather have gone.

heh – yeah, I’m still trying to get those last minute things done too!

Ouch! Yes, sore/swollen fingers do hamper knitting speed. Even in the best of health, I still have to gift a few IOU’s some years. Just blissfully enjoy all your family. The knitting will wait, if impatiently.

Glad your fingers will be better soon and that you can still knit.

I’ve decided that I could start on Dec. 26th planning for the following Dec. 25th and at the last minute I could find one more thing I want to knit or one more thing I’d like to bake or cook.
