There’s nothing quite like coming home from the post office feeling like the sun is suddenly shining brighter, the water in the marsh alongside the road by the bay more full of life–look, there’s a snowy egret!–like wanting to dance to the music, any music, turn some on, enjoy!
Priority mail. Ain’t that the truth!

Thank you! I’ve put a photo of it here before, but I wanted to try to capture the essence of it better, the lightness and drape, as I sent it off. It’s the Bigfoot pattern from my book, done up in Fino yarn from purlescenceyarns.com, 80/20 baby alpaca/silk, one skein 875 yards/100g, size 7 needles. It comes out smaller around than the original, but I’ve tried it on larger friends and it fit well on them, too.
