Scrolling through my photos, wait–there was one more, with a declaration in so many languages: All are alike unto God.

So. Many. Hours. of someone’s life to create this.

Am I correct in guessing it was tatted? Can you do crochet like this?

MMario (on Ravelry) figured out how to do filet knitting and has several patterns (free) there with it. But I agree with DebbieR, that is probably filet crochet. It was figured in a LOT of church needlework last century. I’m pretty sure I still have some pattern leaflets that I was gifted on making it.
