Six years after the initial burst of hope and enthusiasm on opening the box my Page mandarin orange tree came in, the limbs are still thin enough that the tag is still on.

But we did it. My finicky, slow-growing tree’s very first Page is turning orange. My crop of one.

May it live up to all the childhood memories.

The only thing I know about mandarins is that I love to eat them. But I’m looking that beautiful fruit and at what looks like a pot that the tree is growing in – and I’m wondering if you would have a better result if the tree was planted in the ground?
Just my country roots ( ha ha) showing through.
Enjoy that lovely little thing!
