Alison’s health is not the problem right now, but our ADSL provider, Speakeasy.net,  is the problem.  They are  dropping a large percentage of all the packets coming to or from our house.  They are not willing to acknowledge the problem, but with this current level of service she can not get to any webpage, or email server.

Fixing requires them to first acknowledge that there is a problem.  We are still stuck at admitting the problem exists.

The blog is not affected, just her access to it.

Well, that’s a major irritant – God know Alison needs her friends, and this is a major way for her connect!

Hi, I popped over here from Lene’s blog to say thanks for the new chicken joke. We don’t get many new ones and I love them even after 36 years of being married to one of the few men in the world who can honestly say that they are hen-pecked! I always look for your comments on Stephanie’s blog also, as you usually make me laugh. I hadn’t read your blog until recently, but now you are on my list. Glad to read that you are recovering.

Filed under “knit?” Needs another label. Suggestions?

How about “life”–or “Murphy’s Law”. I hate it when they don’t believe the problem is on their end. Hope you get your Internet back up and working.
BTW–I love Don’s humor!

Jeez, you scared me there for a second!

May they see the light soon.

Is there a 12 step program for servers?

Tell Alison that I wish her well on that, the last time I called to complain about my website provider it was routed to India for customer service and he kept telling me that he had no problem changing anything on my blog (it was not allowing me to correct things), I finally told him that was really nice that it let him, but the problem was it would not let me and I was paying for the service. Can they really be that thick?

Of course they don’t see a problem. If they did they would have to fix it.
