Leaping lizards

It looks like it unzipped its back to relax on a warm day. (Photo taken yesterday; it hit 90F today.)

The Erva people clearly listened to their customers, because a few said that wild rabbits had been able to leap into their cages.

They won’t leap up into a pot because there might be a predator just waiting for the moment, but they can see what’s inside those cages at ground level.

So the latest ones are taller and wider and there is now an XL protecting my baby peach tree. Because I have to know I’m doing everything I can to help that thing succeed.

Update: the video just posted. We have three peregrine falcon eggs at San Jose City Hall! Likely a fourth to come in a day or so.
