The plane was delayed. There was not a cab to be found at that hour. We went to plan B, rolled out of bed, marveled at how little traffic there was (duh), and got her home.

Comment by Holly 08.19.26 @ 7:03 amSo happy she is home, and Mom could help. The locked shelves drive me nuts. But I refuse to give in and just order online. I want my local stores.
Comment by DebbieR 08.19.26 @ 8:59 amSo, so many people now only get the bad aspects of their job – their company trying to squeeze out more while treating them as interchangeable widgets to minimize the number of, most interactions with customers who are tired and fried and also annoyed with the company the employees are working for, not enough to live on, etc. – that a reminder of how Their Work Helps Someone, Actually is a glorious prosocial much-needed vitamin tonic!
