I hope in my lifetime it could come to be a surprise rather than not be one at all that it was majority-black districts in Mississippi where the machines weren’t working and people had to cast provisional ballots that were set aside in emergency folders. People who had registered were not found as having done so.
Twenty-four hours later, Colom’s lead has gone from 28 to 1138 votes. It’s slow but it’s happening. I’m picturing people having to take time off work again, this time to cure their ballot–and doing it. Go team go.
