Tis the knitting deadline season

I glanced up at the clock and thought, I was going to stop knitting and go do a blog entry five minutes ago.

…I was going to stop knitting and go blog half an hour ago.

…I was going to–eh, it’s been almost 45 minutes, we have to get up early to pick Michelle up at the airport, I’m running out of time in the day and my hands need a break anyway.

And that’s what got me to finally come over here. (A side note: that timestamp up there is still on daylight savings time.)

Oh, and, Ellen’s right; baking that fleece would definitely be the way to go, clearly; the only thing standing in my way of just going and doing that yesterday was the simple silliness of I had never done such a thing before.

Most of the time I read your blog through Google Reader – plain text in a pop-up on my screen. Not sure why I clicked through today. At any rate, I love your blog’s look, especially the transition from taupe to chocolate in the spindyeknit logo. Hope you’re feeling better.

Sing it, sister! I usually avoid December deadlines, but somehow this year I’ve ended up with a bunch. At least they are all things I’m happy to be taking on.

The juncos are back! The juncos are back! Just had to say it to someone who’d get it! This a.m. when I noticed the juncos eating spilled seed on the ground, there was a woodpecker on the suet feeder, and, would you believe, a bluebird sitting on top of the wrought iron feeder holder! (We haven’t seen bluebirds since spring.)
FWIW, if you have an exhaust fan for your oven I’d suggest you turn it on before you bake your fleece, because it may smell odd.(We sterilized potting soil one year by baking it at a low temp. It smelled similar to the way I remember agar smelling from high school biology class many moons ago.)
Hugs,

The only way I know to stop doing something is to stop doing something.

I presume Michelle made it back safely.

‘Tis that season…’tis indeed! Hope you’re getting it all done, and that you are feeling ok in the midst of it. 🙂
