Great, flying cranes nearby and overhead as we went into a restaurant for lunch. Wow.
And…nobody noticing. How could this be? I remarked on them to one of the family and she too thought it was cool they were there.
I wonder how much have I missed by not taking the time to just sit in Nature and take it all in.
It’s beautiful out there.

You have to have the freedom to sit back and observe. I think you were a little busy keeping an eye on people for many years… 😉

Comment by Don Meyer 11.19.11 @ 10:22 amI’ve noticed the geese here leaving the area, and the cranes we have most all year around ,many different kinds.Had a pair nesting in a field nearby this year, People just don’t take the time to look , they miss so much.
Comment by Kris 11.19.11 @ 5:32 pmI’m amazed at how many things “normal” people don’t see. I was raised by a wildlife major, so I am constantly seeing hawks and herons and things like that. Most people never know that they are there. It can be a fun little secret to brighten the day.

Comment by Suzanne in Montreal 11.21.11 @ 9:37 amI try to be aware, and yet fall out of awareness so easily amid the rush to do.
Thanks for the reminder.
