“I need some blog inspiration here.”

Her face lit up. “How about you say you picked your daughter up from the airport and that very night she cooked a delicious dinner of such and such and then the next night she cooked such and such and the next night she cooked such and such and it was all really good and the next night she cooked such and such and tonight she and her brother together cooked a really yummy dinner! Clearly, I raised my children right!”

“Can I quote you?”

“YES!” she exclaimed in delight, the biggest grin on her face.

Giving you a big “amen!” from Texas. My two oldest have become good cooks, and they have husbands who are good cooks, which means that I have been able to keep my promise to myself, to never put my hand up a turkey’s rump again. I just show up, bring a side dish or chips for the salsa, and play with the grandbabies while somebody else loads the dishwasher. Bliss!

Sweet! (And what high praise when one’s children realize you raised them right.)

Well, I really expect less from your offspring! After all, look who raised them.

feeling the love here! (and watching my daughter and her husband with their new son I’m feeling there are two sets of grandparents here that think they did a good job raising children too!)

LOL…my only son to return to the nest has been the recipient of cooking and taking out…clearly, I’ve done something wrong!
