B R R R R R I N G!

88, 89, 90,

B R R R R R I N G!

91, he’s home ninety- too, 93,

B R R R R R I N G!

94, 95, 96…

He pops his head around the corner a moment later. “It was for you.”

“I was counting. And I was almost done.”

Ya gotta love a man whose reaction to that was to grin–he gets this knitting counting thing–and then to go tell Michelle himself over the phone what other grocery item to pick up.

“Can’t talk, counting” is a perfectly valid excuse for refusing a call. Good think you had back-up to cover for you! (BTW, was it chocolate?)

Now you understand why one inquired if a Victorian lady was “in”. Of course, she was physically there…but she might be counting! 🙂

LOL at Barbara-Kay – good one! Don’t you just love counting, and then having someone start talking to you? I love my husband dearly, but after 5 years of knitting he’s just starting to get the counting louder and louder thing means please just wait a minute… I’m lucky to have him though, talking or not.

Hold on – COUNTING! works in our house. But I rarely answer the phone at home anyway…

We have all been there, done that. Training others in the household takes a while.

My sweetie learned fast–he only interrupted me ONCE!

Well, I’m not a knitter, but I have a kinda similar story. I have a couple of inhalers where I have to hold my breath for ten seconds. 6, 7, 8, ….
And in the midst of this Amalie would ask me a question, which I was not answering immediately. So she’d start to ask again, turn and look at me, and “Oh, you’re puffing!”
