That was one of the stories my dad drew for me at bedtime. Three Bears was the other one. I got to decide what the bridge or house looked like. Happy times.

I remember my grandmother telling me the story of the Billy Goats as a child — it wasn’t until I saw the book in the school library that I realized it was actually something someone had written down! (my grandmother had a remarkable memory bank of literature and poetry that she could recite, which I think gave me the love for words!)
