Not seen on their Wish List

There was some discussion here of Lego/not Lego with a too-young younger sibling–we had a memorable case of Lego Stomach and x-rays when our own were going through those stages–so I took a look around Amazon to see what they had in the way of larger ones but ended up ordering none. Just not our choice to make for their kids.

About an hour later, I noticed my gmail had a new message: Target, offering me 40% off on many of their Lego sets.

They don’t miss a beat, do they?

You want Duplo – the younger version of LEGO. The pieces are bigger and meant for little ones.

But, is your Christmas knitting done?

It can be handy, but sometimes it can also cross the line!

Duplo are great and lasted a while with my twins.
You could use that ad and send it to the parents, saying, ummm, does your household want these? Please advise?
My folks consult on all the gifts and I appreciate it. I started out as a wooden puzzle and blocks type Mom. My mom was like this with us, and I was even more hardcore. Then, I had twins and the reality is that they throw blocks and puzzles at each other’s heads as toddlers. So, you know, plastic it is! You cannot tell this stuff until you are in the thick of it sometimes…
