Bigger each day

Got a few Mother’s Day pictures to show off.

Got to watch the Bewick’s wren babies being fed by a parent again today–and now they can fly up as well as down. Solitary most of the year, interacting as a family now and I love it.

Saw a junco yesterday flapping madly as it descended onto the box but it didn’t know about this tuck your wings in thing and found itself lifted right back up in the air again and oh oops how do you stop these things? Bouncy bouncy bounce.

It’s the landing that’s the part they have to learn. Playing in the light and the air comes naturally.

Those sweet faces!!! Thank goodness for Skype and FaceTime so you get to see them whenever you want. Too bad they haven’t figured out how to Skype a hug and kiss so we can feel them.

Such handsome little boys. Funny, though, when I first saw the post title, I imagined you would be talking about apples or peaches!

You have Juncos there? Do they stay all year or just seasonally? We have them in Iowa—-but they come as winter does and leave as spring comes. So we enjoy them, but not so much the weather they seem to like here.
