And on the total silliness side, courtesy of Kevin at Purlescence, I offer a picture of taking it easy on oneself, sipping honey and fresh-squeezed lemonade for the flu. Here you go.

Clearly, they put a small person in a much larger person’s sweater with the head out the neck, their legs out one arm,  hands out the other and the hemline opening carefully skootched under. I think. Don’t go racing to knit that; just go find someone much much bigger than you.

(Glancing sideways at the 6’8″er who doesn’t know I’m typing this. Heh.)

I did finally pick up yarn and needles and dive in today. I can’t tell you what a relief it felt. At last!

… or some issues with gauge, ha! Hope laughing doesn’t hurt when you’re achy.

That’s something else… but there are definitely days it would be appropriate!

for those “leave me alone” days, no?

off to AC Moore. Got a great coupon to buy a new Ott-Lite. My eyes give me grief because the old one died. Then to knit!

Glad you’re feeling a bit better! I have been tired, not sick, but found the energy to spin for a while yesterday. It’s nice to be ‘back’, isn’t it. 🙂

hmmm, must have been knit by someone having the same issues I had with a recently attempted (and abandoned) project — just could not get gauge!!

glad you are feeling well enough to take up the needles again

That looks comfy — I think. That really you? Good that who(what)ever that is, feels better.

Being wrapped in handknits like that would have strong healing force, so it isn’t a laughing matter.

Well, ok, really it is. 🙂

I’m glad your well enough to pick up the needles.

Some days I just want to stuff myself with acorns, crawl into a hollow log, and sleep until March. I even wish I had a furry tail to wrap around me and cover my nose. But a sweater like that might be almost as good.

Wasn’t there some cartoon or ad critter that looked just like that only in yellow rubber? Maybe invented by Pixar, walking around and honking like a duck…

Some days that looks exactly like the place I’d like to hide. So glad you’re back to knitting! Get well soon.
