Well so I guess I will

Took it easy today. Didn’t go to a couple of places I’d planned on; I put my feet up and got some serious knitting done.

If I were making that silk shawl for me (um…)  it would just need casting off.

It keeps telling me it wants to be longer. I put it down and started on the next project while it argued, with me going, but then, who? I know that women who are larger than me need more length, but…

It needs to be longer. It’s been steadily louder as I’ve gotten towards this stopping point; clearly, I am not in charge here.

Well okay then. But for the pattern to look right I have 13 rows to go, then, and a full day’s worth of work.

And then it will be perfect!

Oh, yes, sometimes you just have to do what the yarn says. The socks I’m knitting now were started as mine, but another friend nearly begged for them Monday. Think she’ll be surprised come Christmas?

Sometimes you need to listen to your work. I made a silly mistake on the shawl that I was knitting(Ileft out 2 rows)and was going to tink back and I heard ” Don’t do that. Make it a design element. So I did and it is soaking as we speak. Next step blocking. Whew!!!!Lucky it was a lace pattern that I could do that on.

Don, I knit a little white hen for a friend (mini-mochimochi) and the friend loves her but she (the hen) told me she was lonely before I left after the Seder, so I am, as I type (more or less) knitting a little brown hen to keep her company. Friend has a brown hen who’s not too healthy but a well loved long time member of the family, so it seems right. Gotta listen closely, you know.
