Looking at the clock, looking at the clock, trying to figure out what yarn to cast on to give my antsy anticipation something useful to do… (Edited to add, since they’re not home yet, Eco Duo won.)

Our older two kids are going to Texas to see their grandparents, with Grandma’s news today confirming the wisdom of seeing her now. We’ve been taking turns. She’ll get to meet Parker.

I’ve still been feverish, so Richard just went to the airport by himself: John and Michelle are coming in to the same airport, both their planes are early–and tell me, how exactly does a plane arrive 55 minutes before it’s scheduled? His had to sit on the tarmac because the airport wasn’t ready for it yet.

I cannot WAIT to throw my arms around my two younger children!

Oh, I do hope your fever is gone and the homecoming was even better than you expected!

Hooray!!!!!!!!!! — except for Grandmother’s news… but at least she gets to meet Parker. Surely that’s balm for almost anything?

Anticipation is half the fun!

Your hugs have been given by the time I type. My mom and dad can’t wait to enjoy the holiday with my little guy. She arrives at their airport on Tuesday. Unfortunately Don, anticipation is overstressing those grandparents ’cause they don’t know how to relax.

I’m so sorry you reacted badly to Reclast! The first time I had it was during chemo, and if I’d reacted in addition to to the chemo I dunno what I would have done! Part of what got me through the reaction to chemo was saying to myself over and over, “It means it’s working, it means it’s working….”
FWIW since carriers are now rated by the # of on-time flights, they give themselves leeway by putting arrival times later than they are likely to be. If, in addition, a plane gets a good tail wind, it can land really early.
Hope that by now you’re feeling better and thoroughly enjoying your visits!
