Baby snuggles!

He’s mobile? Already?

You will never get it totally baby-proof. That means you get to just watch him, all the time.

I call it “being upwardly mobile.” Everything you own gets moved higher and higher.

Make sure you get lots of baby snuggles for me too! Baby Leo should be making his appearance any day now.

Joyful work! Will you post every hour or two so that we might enjoy Parker, too? (just kidding, but do take lots of pictures, ok?)

Sherry beat me to it. I suspect there is no such thing as “baby-proof”. You WILL get pictures, of course.

Sing it with me now…An-ti-ci-pa-a-tion….is making me wait! Oh, and good luck on finding all that needs moved before young Parker does…

I wondered the same as the other Lynn. When my daughter first became mobile it was convenient that she pushed herself BACK away from anything she wanted to get near. It was kind of funny to place her in front of the fire and watch her push herself backwards. (Yes, we watched her all the time, and we did have a fire guard etc…And she’s heading to uni so don’t call child social services.)

The thing that got us was sharp edges on low furniture. And a poorly chosen door striking plate that thankfully hit the forehead. Yup, Sherry is right.

It’s astonishing what you will notice when you get down to the floor on your tummy or back! Have a wonderful time watching him like a hawk. And give him a hug for me.

Yes, that was my first reaction — how could it be that he’s already mobile — wasn’t he just born a few weeks ago? I also agree with having someone sit on the floor (lie on the floor, perhaps) and look around and slightly up to see what could become hazardous. Outlet plugs? Soft things on corners of furniture? Anything that could be pulled over? (including hanging cloths on tables) Oh my. You will certainly have eyes on him every minute he’s awake. It will be such a wonderful visit! Can’t wait to see photos.

DDIL is about 5 months and in Abu D’habi (sp?) for business. You can imagine how well that might be going. And it’s Ramadan so I gather they’re not providing even water during meetings. Whew. But she’s fine and will take good care of herself, I’m sure. (This will be her third son in early Dec. You can imagine that we’re so looking forward to December!)

Sounds like a lot of fun times are coming your way. Can’t wait to see pictures of the baby.
