I just spent an hour trying to puzzle out why this picture wouldn’t load, finally got Richard to come over, he stood over the computer, I demonstrated…

And poof. Picture. I did everything exactly the same way, the only change being the 6’8″ computer scientist standing above me.  It knows who’s the boss of it.

Knitknitknitknitknit.

It’s like with the kids: the testosterone-based authority in that voice does it, every time. “You heard your mother. Now *scoot*!”

Sometimes I’m the only one who can get the printer to print or my sewing machine to sew. The trick is not letting it think you’re in a hurry. If you act like you only have two minutes, it takes all day. If you act like you have all day, it takes two minutes. But the kids and sometimes even the spouse are impatient.

Maybe it is only possible to be an expert in one thing–knitting, not computering.

We should all stick to what we know best!

heh, don’t you love technology — when it works!

I LOVE that photo! Seems that Parker learns quickly!

6’8″ authority hath spake!

Also — did that photo get reversed? The lettering on the shirt looks backwards.

6’6″ or 6’7″ might not have cut it. No one messes with 6’8″–not even the inanimate.

BTW, love Don’s “hath spake.” We must preserve our poetic language!

There are days I swear the color one is wearing makes a difference.

just got a new printer here, I am almost afraid to use it, it has a lot of fancy apps. Sometimes technology just scares me,

What an adorable photo though!

I’m sure if Richard was trying to knit and you stood over him, the scarf would make itself.
