Happy Birthday, John!

My youngest missed the chance his due date gave him to only have to be reminded it’s his birthday at every fourth year.  His missed his chance to have the only date that’s a command. (I’ll give you to the count of four to figure that one out.)

And today we celebrated over the phone. A chocolate torte, safely cut into small, individually-wrapped pieces before freezing, is being gradually consumed in his honor over as many days as it takes. Happy Birthday, John!

my step daughter’s husband and two of his brothers were born on the same date — with 2 years between each of them — and there was no medical intervention going on — amazing

hope your “baby” had a great birthday — enjoy that chocolate!!

In ancient Greek, “march forth!” is “exelauno” . . . so March Forth is Exelauno Day for classicists the world over.

Could I please go to one birthday every fourth year? I hope I contributed to that birthday torte…it will make me feel better about not nibbling it myself.

I once had a housemate whose birthday was March fourth… she called it “Progress Day”!
