Some things never change

Fifty years ago and then again today: “I think you need a nap, dear. Go to bed.”

I’m not tired.

“I think you need a nap, dear.”

(I don’t wanna. I don’t often get to visit with my parents, even if I’m trying not to breathe on them.)

“You need a nap, dear.”

Alright… (I’ll lie down for ten minutes and make everybody happy.)

Zonk…. And it did help a lot.

Meantime, I think Parker’s got that Mona Lisa thing down just so.  And Warm Hats Not Hot Heads is at 60 hats! Go knitters!

Sure am enjoying those pics of Parker. Feel better and enjoy your visit with your parents.

Of course, now the “go take a nap” can come from either party. 🙂

How does Parker fit such big eyes into such a sweet little face?

That made me smile – the exchange, the photo… all of it.

All you have to do is follow Parker’s example. And, yes, a 10 minute nap does wonders. Take it from one who knows.

Naps don’t neglect guests: they just allow them a little personal down time. You don’t have to hostess 24/7. Take care of yourselves and your parents will find a way to fill the time.

Parker looks very reluctant to take his. My daughter Ems slept very little, too. She got enough but not enough for me.

Being a good patient is not only good for you – it’s good for the ones who love you and care for you. 🙂

Thank you for not fighting the nap (says the pregnant woman heading for one).
