Auditioned for the next Incredibles movie: st r e  t ch.

So I was going to show you the it-was-going-to-be-finished baby sweater. Yeah well.

Typing gingerly and glad for a hubby who raced for the icepacks: turn the treadmill off first, don’t grab at the handle to keep from falling while it pulls your feet away. Or, how to learn things you already knew and thought you’d planned out against in advance.

Life’s way of saying, forget the chores; go prop up your feet, wrap an afghan around you (thank you all for those!) and go read a good book in the October evening cool.

Why thank you, Three Cups of Tea arrived in the mail, I think I will.

I really enjoyed that book. Missed seeing Greg Mortenson last time he was in SF.

Ouch, sounds painful! I dislike dreadmills with a passion. I understand they serve a purpose in life (and unlike some things, I can actually see what purpose), but they’re always out to get you. I am lucky I don’t need them. Take care of the bruised bits, and wrap up in those afghans.

Tinebeest’s “out to get you” comment reminded me of something my daughter tried to describe. She had to choose between a European Awareness class or a gym class which involved having your feet strapped onto some pedals on a machine (?) The thought of being attached to something moving freaked her out and luckily she got the European class!

Oh, do be careful. Hope you are better soon. It’s good that hubby was home when that happened.

oh dear! i hope the trouble is very short-lived. or maybe just as long-lived as it takes you to get through your book. 🙂

This is a little like watching someone choke, but who is coughing loudly. You know they are essentially OK, because you can hear air getting into their windpipe. It’s when they are silent you get really worried.

Which is a long way of saying I’m glad you aren’t so out of commission that you couldn’t post about it, but sorry to hear of any discomforts.

I hope you are mending today.

Yeah, I’ve never trusted myself on a treadmill. I can totally picture that scenario.

Yikes. Recover gently, and read deeply.

hope you are feeling much better — what you need now is chocolate!

My, my, all that good advice, especially Bev’s. You couldn’t get me anywhere near a treadmill, or as tinebeest put it, Dreadmill. I’ll bet that’s not a typo.

It all sounds WAY too painful. Hope everything settles down and feels better ASAP!

Do they have treadmills that aren’t electric? That’s the kind I would need I am a klutz and a half. I hope you are Okay, man that’s gotta hurt.

You weren’t off the beaten track. You were the beaten tracker being throw off. I hope you will have a discussion with your treadmill on the things that will happen to it if it doesn’t behave. (Maybe Richard’s recumbant bicycle can tell it some scary stories.)
