He said they start out little

And then they grow! (Our older son, the father, being 6’9″.)

Okay, so, just to distract you from the rant below: I made great headway on a new shawl today but at one point put it down, picked up the tiny hat on the tiny needles that make my hands tingle to work on, and simply did those last few rows. I needed the satisfaction of having it done. The bluegreens are deeper (and I think prettier) in person.

Just looking at that tinyness makes the idea of our coming grandson more real. Richard looked at it and was reminiscing over newborns, holding his arms as if to cradle the little one right then and there.

We can’t wait!

I can’t wait to see those first pictures of that precious new addition to your family. :>)

Please wait. A friend of mine just gave birth to her twins much too early. They were WAY too tiny. They need to be bigger before they can even wear clothes. So wait, knowing that it just gets better and better. And with his genes, your grandson may be born longer then usual, (21, 22 inches?)and consequently kind of boney and skinny. So its a good thing that you already know that he’ll be absolutely gorgeous no matter.

Now, that is done so you can go to larger needles and yarn so baby has more to wear as he grows. Have you got a shawl, better known as baby afghan, done yet?

So much fun! It truly warms my heart to share in your anticipation.

If that tiny hat is,as you say, prettier in person, it must be fantabulous!

Wish I could see the pic, but that’s a no-go this morning! And of course, all babes are beautiful (especially when related to us!)

Or the shawl to wrap momma and baby in as they bond. What do Daddy’s wrap up with their babies in? Love the tiny hat. Off to read the rant, I have a minute of down time. g

My long-ago tiny one didn’t wear newborn size things but for less than two weeks…better make some (slightly) larger ones; remember how fast they grow! I *know* you can’t wait to be grands!
