The Cancert scarf is the right pattern for that brushed mohair. It and I are much happier now that I’ve listened to the yarn.

Put them “out of sight”? Are you crazy! Those skeins are so pretty they should be prominently displayed as they are until made into something new. I suggest investing in a custom-made glass display cabinet placed near the front door so every visitor is greeted by their beauty.

The colors, the colors! They are so beautiful. I would also have trouble choosing.

The dogs in my neighborhood are always talking about the squirrels. “Come on. I can take ’em. I’ll get one for you. Wouldn’t you love squirrel stew?” (What? If you can understand yarn, I can understand dogs.) The dogs are also offering us venison if we’d just let them off the leash. Interestingly enough, the local deer can tell a leashed dog from an unleashed one at 200 yards.

I’m sure all will grow up to be beautiful. It seems a natural fit to me that the Roomba would be drawn to spinning.

Indecision, my constant companion! I try not to keep too much on the needles, because if I cast on everything I wanted to, I’d never finish anything at all . . .

What a serendipidous thing the Web can be…hmm, web, an apt word on a needlework site, wouldn’t you say. I was looking for Frances Begay, who is my favorite designer of jewelry and found your site. Alas, I don’t weave, tried knitting years ago and suceedec ony in tying myself in knots. I did knit one incredibly lopsided sweater that looked like moths had been to it. Perhaps I should not have started with mohair! I do do a little needlepoint…nothing good enough to share..and though, without the talent to do, I remain fascinated by the tactile, textural, and colorful properties of yarn and fabric and so I am, I guess, an appreciator. I love your site and if you don’t mind, I’ll vist just to enjoy the beauty you and your friends create..and the stories. I might even share a story or two of my own, since that, I can do! I had to laugh. I saw the picture of the yarn before I read the post and knew immediately that it was Diane’s handiwork. I’m wearing some of her “vintage” yarn on my feet right now. The combination of Alison’s genius and Diane’s genius is gonna be mindboggling! Can’t wait to see what it all becomes!
