Hey, Mom, reach for the stars.  John thought I was looking too serious, pulled a John and got silly and made me laugh, and quick! snapped this photo before I could recover. I am so going to miss him after he flies out Saturday–school, work, getting on with life.  But it’s been such a joy and a rare treat to have him home the last couple of months.  He’s a good one.  I am going to miss him fiercely.

Pure joy, pure love!

Thank you for sharing this precious moment with us that many would have cherished by themselves. 🙂

What a beautiful photo! You look good, too! (Gee, I can almost see your toenails.)

Other fun –

During dinner one night a friend told us of his days playing football as a defensive lineman. “Did you play sports in college, Mike?” his wife asked her husband. “Yes, I was on the shooting team” he replied. “That’s great,” she said suitably impressed. “Offense or defense?”

That is a FABULOUS picture, Alison! Hope you have fun at Stitches. My sister and I are supposed to go to Maine this weekend, for the New England Textile Artists Spa. They are predicting horrible weather, but rumor has it the Big Storm may hold off until Friday. My fingers and toes are crossed. We’re supposed to leave on Thursday morning. This is the first time my sister has ventured out to visit ME in the winter. Usually, I go out to see her in St. Paul. My birthday is tomorrow, but I have to work. Will delay celebration until the weekend. Only a few more hours left to be 47…
