Thank you, Richard, for the update, though I’m sorry to hear there’s been a setback. I hope the doctors will be able to take care of everything and Alison will soon be back to her non-elephant-like self. 🙂

A wise man waits to get the all clear before posting a picture of someone with a tube up their nose. Hope ‘Queen Celeste’ is back home soon.

Oh dear! I worried that she was being sent home a little too soon. I sure hope she is back on track very soon. The long silence today was definitely worrisome. We are so spoiled!

I can’t think of anyone who I would picture as an elephant less than Alison! Poor baby! Prayers continue. Thanks for the update Richard.

Prayers are still coming your way, long-distance from Vermont. Alison has been through so much and we all pray that she will permanently start feeling better. Thank you, Richard, for keeping us posted and God bless you for taking such good care of your darling wife.

My dad reports that the tube down the nose is the worst. (Of course he only lost a foot of his colon, and they stitched it back together.) Still, the tube in the nose is really uncomfortable, and real healing will start when Alison can rest without interruption. Meanwhile, hold down the fort, and thanks for keeping us posted.

I immediately thought of Queen Celeste, too! Loved those Babar stories when I was little. My favorite, though, was the one where Zephyr rescues General Huc’s daughter from Polomoche and the Gogottes. 🙂

I have had you much in my thoughts, and was hoping last night was a better one than the previous. Sorry to hear it was not so, and hope the tube will come out soon, and you will be home again before you know it.

Blessings on you, “Queen Celeste,” and don’t lose heart. A someone else already said before me, this, too, shall pass.

The incision hurts, but that tube is a device of torture! I, too worried that she went home too soon. But, from years of experience, I can tell you that this is practically normal after intestinal surgery. The plumbing just wasn’t quite ready to go back to work. This, too shall pass. Hopefully quickly.

I am so sorry to hear this. I pray you will soon be able to eat on your own and go home again. Take care, my friend, and know you are loved.

Tell her that someday this will all be a very unhappy memory. But until then, all of our love to all of you.

You are a good man, and a good husband to a lovely woman. Alison, I wish you a better day and wellness.

Insurance is a wonderful thing – except it has dictated how long people can stay in the hospital – and they send people home waaaaaay to early. You should have time to learn how to do things and time to be sure there won’t be these issues happening because you have had more time to heal ….. frustrates me no end. And I am sure you too at this point ….

Ditto all the comments about getting permission to post pix like that! We have some of my mother recovering from various things that definitely fall into the “blackmail only” category.
