still blooming! My Picotee amaryllis is still blooming! It’s too bright out there for a good photo, but I wanted to grab it before it faded.

The Zappos came: the more formal, more wedding-y looking shoes sliced deeply. I walked halfway across the carpet and couldn’t take them off fast enough. People actually wear these?! Zapp’em back.

The other pair, though. Wow. These were created expressly for my feet. And if you look at the style: picture the increases in a top-down circular shawl translated into a shoe. It’s as if I’d been in collaboration with the leatherworking designer in Italy. Success. Why, yes, actually, I did immediately order a second pair in pearl. I buy one pair of shoes, on average, every other year. Break the bank.

Zappo Bella-Vita Penelope

(Added later): I’ve been thinking for the last several hours how ditzy a post this is. Shoes? After writing about E? But… Other than Birkenstocks, there have been so very few times in my life when I’ve found any that fit well, feel good, look good, and that I really like. Although, I’ve got to say, overall, I’m glad of that. My weird feet have totally saved me from ever being a shoe fanatic, since there’s no chance. Leaves the money for important things, like yarn–which I can use to center myself around others rather than myself. Thank goodness for 9″ long EEs.

Comfortable shoes are oh so important!!! I have just recently discovered Zappos as well. I love all your flowers in recent posts – especially those roses!

P.S. I snuck by Knitting Arts today on my way back from a meeting and got 10 skeins of blue sky alpaca!!! 2 skeins are a gift – really.

I have a shoe problem (that is what hubby says).

But I like to buy shoes and search for cute ones in size 11. As if that is even possible ;(

I love the maker’s name of the shoe. I’m zilch on Italian, but it appears to be something like..beautiful living…I agree! Cute flats!! The pearl ones will be gorgeous. Nothin’ ditzy about shoes that fit; quite to the contrary..we’re all rootin’ for you here. 🙂

Aw, cute shoes! I love to admire shoes from afar, but not buy them myself. Shoe shopping is quite the dreaded undertaking.

I do have a shoe problem, but my back problem has trumped it into submission. Comfort is everything.

I understand the need for correctly fitting shoes. Brian has a callous caused by a birth defect in the bones of the ball of his foot (actually both feet) and has to be very picky when it comes to the fit and feel of a pair of shoes otherwise he ends up hurting severely. COngrats on finding a pair that work well for you 🙂 Keep the feet happy and the rest of the bosy feels good!

I wore 6 1/2 AA when we first met. We should have gotten together back then and averaged!! But now, 5 children later, my feet are longer and wider–squashed flat from carrying kids, so it’s not so hard to find shoes that fit. However, once I do find a pair, I fully expect them to last forever, and I’m very disappointed when something I like doesn’t!!

(slowly catching up)…

Those are Fab looking shoes! and I hear you on getting an order in for another pair… there are shoes in my past I wished I’d bought a few pair at the same time… they never last long enough.

So sweet!! Really a good combination of simplicity and fashion. I like those shoes.
