I love that picture! And I wish our Eastern birds would use the bits of yarn I put out for them in the springtime. I guess there’s always next year.

What a great picture. I remember nesting; any time I get on a serious cleaning jag these days (which isn’t often), my DH asks me with a very anxious look if there’s something I want to tell him 🙂

That reminds me, I need to get the feeding platform straightened out for this winter. Snow will be here before we know it.

When my book, Mrs. Muddle’s Holidays, comes out (and I have a date now–March 18, 2008)you will note that Mrs. Muddle celebrates “First Robin Day” by decorating her trees and bushes with bits of yarn for the birds. This being a picturebook world, of course they graciously accept. Too bad Mrs. Muddle doesn’t have your stash, or some birds would have some real designer nests.
