One of the benefits of moving back east was the lack of early morning calls.
Gifts are wonderful things. I get yarn for my help in knitting samples for my sis-in-love. My favorite is when she asks me if I can use some of her de-stashed yarn. YES!!! is always my answer. I get this wonderful conglomeration of yarns, and they inspire new patterns and projects, and it's better than if I chose something in particular. It's more exciting, more adventurous. Digging in the bag when it arrives is like traveling to unknown countries.
Anything I can't use myself I can usually make a gift from, either for a friend, or for Warm Woolies or Afghans for Afghans. (or a Michigan no-kill shelter in Chelsea).
It keeps my hands busy and my heart happy.

Isn't it wonderful when all the aspects that need to, fall into place to make just one special someone happy?

It's a beautiful shawl that was just supposed to be born, or knit!

I'm glad you got a chuckle out of the clock, and that it brought this story to mind. Loved it!

I knew the end of story. Of course you were going to find the yarn AND it was going to be a gift. I love that shawl it is one of my favourites. You inspire me to have good thoughts all the time and put the good out there. Thank you.

And they all lived happily ever after. The end.

Once in a while, a story has to end right. So glad yours did!
