Pass the pop

So life had other things going on, and I finally sat down and picked up my needles. At last.

Ever have one of those moments when you suddenly listen to the elevator music going on in your head, ie, what’s been humming along in the background noise of your brain that you haven’t really been paying attention to? It’s kind of like waking up in the dream process, where you try to figure out how you came up with that one.

But honestly. Pop Goes the Weasel? What on earth?

Maybe for colors that pop out at you? (We’ve been working in the background on overhauling the site and blog, getting ready to move off Blogger.) But still. My overblown sense of dignity is affronted, I tell you, just affronted. Bag the weasels. Turn on the music! Let the needles dance!

The first thing I did when I got to work today was set up a display about the Transformers movie that comes out soon.

For the rest of the day, I kept humming: “Transformers…more than meets the eye!” in that little electronic voice.

It was kinda creepy.

Hey, at least it is a rhythm that is fun! And there is one interpretation that says it could be fiber related! LOL

I have been known to sing or hum the theme song to Arthur. Eli watches it every morning. That’s how I start most every day

I have a terrible “earworm” problem – there is constantly a soundtrack in my head (usually 80’s), but sometimes it’s songs that are just nuts! Thanks to you, “Pop” is now stuck in my head. Fortunately hubby is watching a Genesis retrospective right this minute, and so at least I get a new song stuck every few minutes!

I love the color of the yarn! Periwinkle is one of my favorite colors. 🙂
